CORNER II
The Corner series was inspired by the photographs of Zbigniew Siemaszko, taken by him between 1950 and 1970 in the same location and identical frame—at the corner of Nowy Świat Street and Aleje Jerozolimskie in Warsaw. It is an attempt to observe the changes occurring in society: the pace of life, the human mood reflected in everyday repeated gestures, as well as fashion and clothing. Indirectly, it also explores how we, as people, perceived ourselves in a time when global mass culture was playing an increasingly significant role. The series was created in 2011.
